Dr. Ana Maria Treadaway is a compassionate pediatrician specializing in developmental behavioral pediatrics, with a particular focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, and cross-cultural advocacy. Originally from Bogotá, Colombia, Dr. Treadaway earned her medical degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. She completed her pediatrics residency at Woodhull Medical and Mental Health Center/NYU School of Medicine in Brooklyn, New York, where she trained as one of the chief residents. Her desire to further specialize in developmental and behavioral pediatrics led her to the prestigious Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrics Fellowship program at Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine, where she refined her expertise. Dr. Treadaway is particularly passionate about the intersection of developmental pediatrics and cultural awareness, striving to provide culturally competent care to diverse populations. She is known for her ability to build strong, supportive relationships with families, ensuring that each patient’s care plan is tailored to their unique needs and family dynamics. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Treadaway is able to bridge language and cultural gaps, providing high-quality care to a broad range of families. Currently, Dr. Treadaway brings her vast expertise to the Lee Health team, where she is dedicated to improving the lives of children and their families through thoughtful, compassionate, and effective care. Dr. Treadaway lives in Florida with her husband, son Connor, and daughter Elizabeth, and she enjoys making a meaningful impact on the lives of the families she serves in Southwest Florida.

It was such a pleasure meeting Dr Treadaway. She was incredibly sweet with my son , patient, kind and caring. I didn’t feel at all rushed during our appointment and Dr. Treadaway made sure all my questions and concerns were answered.
