He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas, where he also began developing his interest in autoimmune disease and systemic inflammation. He further specialized in rheumatology through fellowship training at the University of Arizona in Tucson. His clinical expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, inflammatory myositis, osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, vasculitis, and gout. He is particularly drawn to rheumatology for its intellectual challenges and the rapidly evolving landscape of treatment options, which continue to offer new hope for patients with chronic conditions.
