Dr. Maiers was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and embodies a wholesome Midwestern nature. Throughout childhood, he spent weekends visiting family near the Field of Dreams movie site and other small towns across the Midwest. After graduating from Iowa State University, he spent a year conducting medical research in Cape Town, South Africa where he met his wife and two dogs.
His medical school training at Northwestern University in Chicago, IL and urology residency in Buffalo, NY have prepared him well to address a broad range of urologic disease processes. He is always striving to create meaningful connections and to treat each patient like family.
In his free time, he enjoys exploring new restaurants, going to the beach, fishing, boating, and overseas adventures. Depending on the time of year you can find him cheering on the Hawkeyes, Cyclones, Cubs, and Bills.
