Lobectomy is the most common surgery for lung cancer, removing a tumor and affected lung section along with nearby lymph nodes. For select patients, we use a less invasive approach called video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery or (VATS).
It enables the surgeon to remove the section of the lung where the tumor is located through a smaller incision, providing patients with less pain, fewer complications and faster recovery.
