Lee Health is committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitative care in Southwest Florida that helps patients regain strength, function, and independence after a serious illness or injury.

As part of that commitment, we have transitioned our inpatient rehabilitation hospital services from the Lee Memorial Hospital campus to the Rehabilitation Hospital of Fort Myers in partnership with Encompass Health, a nationally recognized leader in rehabilitation. Together we provide high-quality inpatient rehab care to the Fort Myers community.

This partnership expands access to expert care through two dedicated rehabilitation hospitals now serving the Fort Myers and Cape Coral communities.

About Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Options

Visiting Hours: 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. daily

This location is a 40-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility. It features all private patient rooms, a large therapy gym with advanced rehabilitation technologies, an activities of daily living suite, a therapy courtyard, a cafeteria, and a dayroom. The hospital serves patients recovering from debilitating illnesses and injuries, including strokes, brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions. Rehabilitation care is provided by our team of specialized nurses, therapists, and physicians.

Located on the Gulf Coast Medical Center campus, this 60-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital provides specialized care for patients recovering from serious illnesses and injuries such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, and complex orthopedic conditions. Patients benefit from a coordinated, team-based approach that includes 24/7 nursing care, daily physician visits, and at least three hours of physical, occupational, or speech therapy five days per week. The facility features advanced rehabilitation equipment and therapy spaces designed to simulate real-world environments, helping patients rebuild strength, mobility, and confidence as they prepare to return home.
