If surgery is recommended and surgical optimization is available for your procedure, your surgical orthopedic specialist will refer you to our surgical optimization center.  Our specialists prepare you and your surgical team before your surgery to reduce possible risks related to your surgery.

If surgery is needed, an orthopedic surgeon develops  a personalized treatment plan, performs the procedure, and collaborates with your care team to support your recovery. Depending on the severity of your condition your orthopedic surgeon may recommend minimally invasive techniques to perform joint replacements, ligament repairs, and more.

Depending on the nature of your condition, surgical needs, and recovery time your next step will be a comprehensive rehabilitation plan.
